The time is the 1930's. Australia like the rest of the world is in the grip of depression. For Aussie's one man lifted their spirits, Don Bradman. Arguably one of the greatest sportsmen of any sport, The Don's cricketing prowess was a ray of sunshine to all Australian, especially to one Hubert "Fatty" Finn. He had a dream, to own a crystal set ( very early radio receiver) so as to listen to Bradman flay the Pom's ( English) in the upcoming Ashes Test match. However that took money to buy and times were hard. Fatty uses his enterprise to raise money and promptly loses it as misfortune strikes time and again. Then of course his arch rival Bruiser Murphy is also plotting Fatty's downfall. If he can only win the goat race again he will have enough to pay for the crystal set; or will Bruiser Murphy gazump him? With his band of friends plus Trumper the frog and Hector the goat Fatty sets out to win the day. Hurray for Fatty Finn. Oh yes and Bradman made a record score in the test.

Al Otro Lado ("To The Other Side") is a 2004 Mexican film directed by Gustavo Loza. The film follows the story of three children, one from Mexico, Cuba, and Morocco, as they attempt to deal with realities of immigration in their societies. The film won three awards at the Lleida Latin-American Film Festival in 2006, including Best Film and the Audience Award; Vanessa Bauche won best actress at the festival for her performance. Al Otro Lado was also the Mexican candidate for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 78th Academy Awards, but was not selected as one of the final five nominees. 

The movie is composed by three short films that, in appearance, are connected by a theme: the immigrants lacking identity papers. This it is not completely true if we set us in the plot of the story that happens in Cuba, where a boy wants to seek his father, an American citizen. In reality Al Otro Lado is the story of three children that want to enjoy his absent parents but are impeded by their economic situation; three stories that themselves turn in just one story of hope.

 Шведский художественный фильм "Как Мари встретила Фредрика" это повесть о том, как Мари повстречала Фредрика, решала ребус, кормила кенгуру, познакомилась с важным иностранцем, торговала морковкой на рынке, жарила сосиску на костре, а также о фрейдистких девчачьих фантазиях. Странно только, что в своих мечтах она раздела не того.
В общем, это детское кино "в потоке сознания". События происходят неспеша одно за другим, никак друг с другом не связанные, только для того, чтобы детишки подружились
SE. Hur Marie träffade Fredrik, åsnan Rebus, kängurun Ploj och... är en svensk familjefilm från 1969 med regi och manus av Bo A. Vibenius. Filmen är Vibenius' regidebut och i rollerna ses bland andra Fredrik Becklén, Madeleine Onne och Sune Mangs.
Marie råkar krossa en vas och rymmer därför hemifrån. På rymmen träffar hon Fredrik, åsnan Rebus och kängurun Ploj och hon får anställning på Fredriks trädgårdsmästeri.
Inspelningen ägde rum mellan den 10 juni och 10 augusti 1969 på Ekerö och i Stockholm med Bo Blomberg som fotograf och Vibenius som producent. Filmen klipptes av Brian Wikström och premiärvisades den 13 december 1969 på biograferna Cinema och Victoria i Stockholm.
Filmen fick ett svalt mottagande av recensenterna där den ansågs var alltför lik Kjell Gredes Hugo och Josefin. Kritikerna menade även att Vibenius placerat smygreklam i filmen.

Где то далеко в провинции, на задворках Апабамы, в местном мухосранске жила-юыла юная Луэллен, была у неё бабка, строгая религиозная мегера, а так же был папаша - раздолбай и алконафт частенько менявший своих жён-сожительниц. Луэллен была весьма талантливым созданием с неплохими вокальными данными и учитывая время - конец 50-х годов XX века, когда весь американский народ буйно фанател с Элвиса Пресли, она уединившись в лесу распевала его песни, находя в этом занятии душевный покой и умиротворение. Но - именно это увлечение и стало причиной трагедии - когда в их городок приехал кумир и у неё, как обычно, не оказалось денег на билет, её лучший дружок устроил ей подставу. В итоге ей пришлось танцевать и петь голяком, после чего её изнасиловал старший дружок в результате чего она и на концерт не попала и, что самое грустное - залетела...
В общем грустное драматичное кино о нелёгких путях провинциальных талантов - беспросветно и тупиково.

The "Our Gang" type adventures of German working class kids from a Berlin apartment building (number 67) during the early 1930s. With Nazism's rise, however, their tight-knit group unravels. One leader, Paul, becomes a Nazi. (In a later book of the series, you discover he renounces Nazism and flees to Switzerland.) One, Erwin, resists Nazification. (In a later book, his father takes him to Sweden. He eventually, however, fights for the British.) And the girl, Miriam, who is Jewish, immigrates to Canada. (In a later book, she returns to Europe after the war, where all three comrades finally meet in Geneva to renew their vows of friendship once again.)

Newly arrived in an up-market housing development, quiet ten-year-old Devon doesn't quite fit in.  Не самый лучший образчик страшной киношки про то, что природу надо беречь, иначе она может и отомстить. Некий североевропейский город, в водопровод попадают химические отходы - аналог сильного наркотика и тут началось: в зоопарке взбесились звери и в результате глупой случайности вырвались на свободу, наводя страх и устраивая хаос в жизни большого города. Крысы сожрали влюбляющуюся в машине парочку, слон наступил на голову какой то бабе, собака-поводырь закусила своим подопечным, дикие кошки гоняются за прохожими, с муниципальной скотобойни разбежались копытные да рогатые и давай отжигать на тёмных улицах. А в худшколе детишки тоже отведали этой водицы и вооружившись здоровенными ножами устроили охоту на взрослых...
Dangerous zoo animals escape from their cages and run amok in the city after drinking water contaminated by PCP (a hallucinogenic drug also known as angel dust, busy bee, peace powder, zombie dust and jet fuel).
The bloody death and destruction on offer includes stampeding cattle running down pedestrians, rats devouring a couple having sex in a car, a woman's head stomped by an elephant, a seeing-eye dog savaging his master (he didn't see that coming!), and a savage polar bear attack on a bunch of kids (who, having drunk some PCP themselves, also become killers!).

Thousands of dancers apply every year for admittance into the Vaganova Ballet Academy but only a few make it in because it’s difficult and it’s gruesome. But then again, nobody expects the life of a ballet dancer to be easy. They are placed on a strict diet for life and they spend long hours practicing and training from a very young age.  Basically, those who decide to follow that road, have to give up parts of their childhood.
Many young girls dream of becoming ballerinas, but very few are fully prepared to undertake the all-out effort and make the sacrifices that the dream demands. The famous Vaganova Ballet Academy in St.Petersburg welcomes the most talented and determined young dancers, but it makes them no promises.

Этот фильм - это рассказ группы астронавтов исследующих планеты в поиске пригодных жилищно-бытовых условий для будущих жителей Земли. На одной из планет они находят потерпевший аварию корабль, члены экипажа этого корабля погибли в аварии, но по сообщению с Земли на борту был так же 5 летний мальчик - сын погибших астронавтов, и среди погибших поисковая группа его не находит. Однако вскоре экипаж поисковой группы встречается с 11-летним мальчиком, вооруженным двумя "магическими" ветками. Грязный, одичавший, голый, он изучает появившихся на планете "пришельцев", а они пытаются установить с ним контакт, чтобы выяснить каким образом ему удалось выжить на чужой планете потеряв своих родителей. Из его рассказов и наблюдения за ним, поисковая группа начинает понимать, что на планете также присутствует таинственная инопланетная раса, которая и помогла мальчишке выжить...
CZ. Na neobydlenou planetu Archa přilétá vědecká expwdice, která má ověřit, zda je prostředí nedávno objevené planety vhodné pro život lidí. Zakrátko se začnou na Arše dít podivné věci. Členové expedice postupně objeví, že průvodcem tajemných úkazů je malý chlapec, dítě pozemských astronautů, kteří zde kdysi ztroskotali. Chlapce zachránila a vychovala vyspělá a nepostižitelná civilizace, která je na Arše doma a nepřeje si být odhalena. Kolem chlapce - kosmického Mauglího - se roztočí řada dramatických událostí.
EN. The Earth is ready to colonize planet Ark as the initial tests showed there are no higher forms of life on it. Several ships are already on the planet preparing bases for the colonists. Androids working outside one of the ships start acting strange. Stanislaw, the communication officer, starts hearing voices of a crying baby and a call for help by a woman. In an old wreckage of a spaceship out in the mountains the crew find corpses of two people that had been dead for years. It turns out it's a ship from Earth that disappeared years ago. Soon they have an alien visitor on the ship - a boy that looks remarkably human. The colonization plans are canceled as the planet is now deemed occupied. All other ships leave the planet except for one that stays behind to establish contact. They realize the boy is a human son of the couple from the crashed ship nourished and raised by the alien civilization. But is he more alien than human? The boy learns to converse in human language in just few hours and avoids answering questions. The crew intends to use him to establish contact with the native civilization but things don't go quite the way they expect it.
