 Поэтическая драма-воспоминание о жизни, быте и обычаях жителей хорватского острова в Адриатическом море довоенных времён, краткое содержание примерно такое: главный герой возвращается туда, где прошло его детство. Этот приезд совпадает с трагическим известием - смертью и похоронами односельчанина. Все это заставляет его снова и снова мысленно обратиться к тем временам.
Фильм входит в список 20 лучших фильмов Хорватии.
HR. Izgubljeni zavičaj je jugoslavensko/hrvatski dramski film iz 1980. koji je režirao Ante Babaja. Film je nastao slobodnom adaptacijom dvaju proznih djela Slobodana Novaka: kratkog romana Izgubljeni zavičaj te segmenta Nekropola iz romana Izvanbrodski dnevnik, koji je iskorišten kao okvir priče filma. Glavne uloge tumače Nereo Scaglia, Zvonimir Črnko, Miljenko Mužić i Neda Spasojević. Radnja se odvija oko jednog gospodina koji odlazi na otok radi sprovoda člana obitelji, ali iskapanja arheologa kraj groblja potiču kod njega uspomene te se prisjeti svojeg djetinjstva, kada je živio na imanju Kontese Valerije čijim je imanjem upravljao njegov otac. Sudjelovao je u berbi grožđa i ulovu riba, ali mu se s vremenom zgadilo kako se njegov otac podcjenjivački i nepravedno ponašao prema malim seljacima s jedne strane, a vrlo podložno prema Valeriji s druge.
Prema anketi 44 filmskih kritičara iz 1999. u kojoj se određivala lista 20 najboljih hrvatskih filmova, Izgubljeni zavičaj se našao na 13. mjestu.
EN. Poetic and slow, with beautiful photography, this is the third feature-length film of director Ante Babaya. Shows life and customs on Croatian Adriatic islands before World War II. The funeral in his native village on an Adriatic island, evokes the main character's reminiscences from the childhood, but the bygone time exist only in his memories. He recalls his childhood, when his father was a steward of a rich woman. He remembers his father's conflicts with peasants, farmers and fishermen, the world which was strange to him because of injustice and suffering of others. But he also recalls the world after the war, when new government disowned the former ruling class and introduced new injustice and suffering.

Carne is a 1991 French drama film written and directed by Gaspar Noé, starring Philippe Nahon and Blandine Lenoir. It tells the story of a horse butcher with a mute daughter. At a running time of 40 minutes, it was the first longer film directed by Noé. The narrative was continued in Noé's 1998 full-length debut, I Stand Alone.
A nameless horse butcher, whose wife left him soon after their mute daughter was born, operates his own business while trying to raise the daughter. Despite the fact that she has become a teenager, the butcher continues to wash her like a baby, and struggles to resist the temptation of committing incest. On the day of the daughter's menstruation, the butcher misinterprets the situation and assumes that she has been raped by a worker, whom he immediately seeks out and stabs as revenge. The butcher is imprisoned for the assault and is forced to sell his butcher shop and apartment.

Familien er Vibeke Løkkebergs tema. I filmene blir vi kjent med familier som kjemper, ofte mot seg selv. Løkkeberg lar kameraet gli ned til de uskyldige og svakeste i konfliktene, barna. Løperjenten er en slik film.
Lille Kamilla bor i etterkrigstidens Bergen. Hennes far, Sverre Konradsen (Helge Jordal), er en konkurs fabrikkeier som vil til Amerika for å starte på ny. Med seg på planene får han Siri, en ung kvinne som overtar både arbeid og sengeplass, mens kona Lisa (Løkkeberg) blir overlatt til den finere kjøpmannen Nilsen. Han er også interessert i pengene Sverre tjente under krige
Dette er en hjerteskjærende, vakker og rystende skildring av etterkrigstidens Bergen, sett gjennom lille Kamillas øyne, laget av en av Norges mest særegne regissører. Filmen ble i 1995 satt på UNESCOs liste over Norges 15 mest betydningsfulle filmer.
EN. 1. Betrayal is set in Bergen in the year 1948. Seven-year-old Kamilla (Løkkeberg) growing up in Bergen, Norway just after the 2nd world war, is trying to deal with the father's adultery and mother's deep depression, as she befriends a boy. This endangers her.
2. Kamilla was originally released in Sweden in 1981, then made the specialty-house rounds in the US four years later. Nina Knapskog is astonishingly perceptive as the 7-year-old daughter of bitterly battling parents. Seeking an escape from the vitriol, Nina develops of friendship with a lonely little boy. Together the kids form a united front against the nastiness and callousness of the rest of the world. Echoes of the earlier child's eye view foreign classic Forbidden Games are inescapable, but the sheer virtuosity of Kamilla enables it to stand on its own lofty merits.
